| Description |
The Las Vegas Care Unit is a secure facility that serves male sex offenders from 16 to 24 months. It is the only program in the state that specifically addresses juvenile sex offenders. The program offers relationship therapy, special education, wilderness programs, and a mileu group. The wilderness program cooperates with the ROPES program in order to teach participation and responsibility. The milieu group concentrates on discontinuing disruptive behavior, and meets four to five times a week. |
